Key Technology

The ultimate espresso JURA has thoroughly perfected the brewing process. The revolutionary Pulse Extraction Process (P.E.P.®) optimises the extraction time for ristretto and espresso by pulsing the hot water at short intervals through the ground coffee, guaranteeing a maximum aroma even for short specialities. 

INTELLIGENT PRE BREW AROMA SYSTEM (I.P.B.A.S.©)
AND PULSE EXTRACTION PROCESS (P.E.P.®)

I.P.B.A.S. is a pre-brew process that develops the maximum flavour from any blend or roast of coffee. The brewing unit is the central component of a fully automatic coffee machine. The JURA variable brewing unit holds between 5 g and 16 g of coffee powder. This allows you to adapt the coffee to suit your personal taste. The Pulse Extraction Process is used to obtain the maximum aroma even with very small speciality coffees such as an espresso or ristretto. The water is pressed through the ground coffee in short bursts, optimising the extraction time.

THE AROMA-G3 GRINDER

The coffee beans are freshly ground each time to guarantee maximum flavour. You can adjust the grinder setting to select the fineness of the coffee powder you want. This affects the flow-through time of the water, the so-called extraction time. The finer the powder, the more intensive the flavour. The cutting angles in the grinding cones of the AromaG3 grinder have been perfected. The JURA engineers have thereby managed to increase efficiency significantly. As a result, the perfect aroma can now be achieved in all its natural fullness in half the grinding time.

Hygiene

CLEANING AT THE TOUCH OF THE BUTTON

 

In combination with the integrated, electronically controlled cleaning programme, the 2-phase cleaning tablet reliably removes coffee fats between the brewing unit and the coffee spout. As well as cleaning it also seals all the pipes, delaying the deposition of coffee fat with lasting effectiveness. Everything happens at the touch of a button and without the user having to reach into the machine..

CHLORINE CAUSES FAULTS AND IMPAIRS FLAVOUR 

When water is heated, lime scale is deposited. Pipes narrowed by lime scale not only slow down the heating process and therefore consume more energy, but may even cause the machine to break down completely. Lime scale also has a negative effect on the coffee itself. Although a small amount of calcium carbonate is important to the flavour of coffee, too much gives the water an unpleasant aftertaste and prevents the coffee aromas from developing as they should, partly due to fluctuating water temperatures. 

SYSTEM CLEANING

JURA’s fine foam technology allows you to enjoy speciality coffees such as latte macchiato, cappuccino, espresso macchiato and flat white in outstanding quality. To keep things that way, we developed the milk system cleaner. Together with the automatic cleaning programme, the JURA milk system cleaner effectively removes milk fats and proteins. This keeps the pipes clean and hygienic for consistently fine, light-as-air milk foam.
