The No.4 beans have a deep, rich brown color, natural oils merely breach the beans surface, giving them a slight sheen. The roast development reduces high-tone citrus acidity, so the bright, fruity, or "terroir" notes of the bean's origin are muted. Floral notes shift toward sweet aromatics (honey, soft citrus), gaining body and crema stability. You get a well-balanced, smooth cup featuring prominent notes of toasted nuts, caramel, and cocoa, making it very espresso-friendly.
